How I remember the time I first met you.

Those eyes penetrate my soul.

Something came over me.

I was a married woman who lived a quiet life.

I was looking for peace but instead my entire world was turned upside down.

Never would I be the same again.

I was a writer who believed in the beauty of God and the kindness of others.

Thinking back, I was quite naïve. It all started after I published my first book. “A Vision for Tomorrow,” was a book that talked about a dream I had.

I wanted to bring together children from the United States and children across the sea.

I created Lynn’s Kids Foundation. We had camps In Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Kenya, Ghana, U.K, India, Azerbaijan, The Gambia, Somalia Russia, Morocco, and the United States. After writing about my vision, we wrote grants.

It was a lot of work, but it was so worth it. Each camp had a director. I funded it through my own savings. Each camp received a stipend of $300. I was so excited to start this venture….
