Our network was created in 2019. First, we were women discussing problems in our countries and found ending solutions. We had women and occasionally men domestically and internationally.
After a year we started writing about social injustices. Our books have been published and the proceeds go to social causes. Our recent book is “Close the Door to Cancer”. The proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The beauty and passion of this group is awesome. For Christmas SSNYC collected toys for the socially disadvantaged. We donated them to a church in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Our members are from New York, California, New Mexico, UK, Morocco, Oman, Kenya, France and India.
Our overall services include counseling people in need of social support and helping anyone in need by planting seeds. A seed of sustainability. Isn’t this the way God wanted it to be?
In 2011 we created Lynn’s Kids Organization. We had a vision that children all over the world would bond and discover that they aren’t so different. Through my connections in an international organization, I recruited teachers.
We started with the following countries: Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cameron, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, UK, India, Morocco, Oman and USA. We started by having children pen pals with each other. As teachers we were busy but so enthusiastic.
Today we have Bangladesh, India, UK, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Kenya and USA. Our students join “Cultural Bridges”. We teach them to exchange multicultural knowledge pen pals’ letters and videos, with each other.
Lynn’s Kids is a passion. In today’s world we are surrounded by bigotry and hate. LK has shown students how to put love in their hearts. Over the years people have visited our biggest chapter Lynn’s Kids Organization NYC.
